Following a sweep of top-tier rankings in the recent Legal 500 UK guide, Ogier’s teams in the Channel Islands continue to strengthen their competitive position in the new Chambers UK guide.
The firm’s Corporate and Finance, Dispute Resolution, Employment, and Property and Trusts teams in Jersey have retained their top tier rankings, and 32 individuals ranked across the two offices.

In Jersey:
- The Corporate and Banking and Finance teams have seven ranked partners, including team head Katrina Edge, Raulin Amy, Richard Daggett, Simon Dinning, Simon Felton, Bruce MacNeil, and Matthew Shaxson.
- Within the Dispute Resolution team, Global managing partner Edward Mackereth is ranked as an eminent practitioner, whilst also ranked are jurisdictional team head Nick Williams, Damian Evans, and associate James Angus.
- Employment team head Helen Ruelle is described as a ‘solid and experienced employment lawyer’, while Will Austin-Vautier is ranked as an associate to watch.
- Within the Private Wealth team, Band one ranked partner and team head James Campbell is ‘one of the thought leaders in trust law’, while Katherine Neal is a ranked practitioner.
- The 20-strong Commercial Property, Planning and Construction team remains in a league of its own. Band one practitioner and team head Jonathan Hughes is ‘very pragmatic, very responsive’, and also ranked are Katharine Marshall, Chris Renouf and Sarah Parish.
- The Investment Funds team is praised as ‘highly experienced and personable’. Jurisdictional team head Niamh Lalor and Emily Haithwaite are both ranked in Band one. Associate Alexandra O’Grady is listed as one to watch.
In Guernsey:
- The Corporate, Finance and Investment Funds teams are praised for their ‘quick turnarounds’, with partners Christopher Jones, Bryon Rees and Craig Cordle all ranked
- In the Dispute Resolution team, partners Simon Davies and Mathew Newman are ranked.
- The Property team in Guernsey adds ‘commercial and legal value’ to commercial property decisions, with partner Martyn Baudains ranked as a notable practitioner.
- From the ‘commercial’ and ‘technical’ Private Wealth team, Catherine Moore is ranked as up and coming, whilst also ranked are managing associate Chris Hards, and partners Gavin Ferguson and Matt Guthrie.
