Health Eye: How did you let the last lockdown affect you?

I get it, we all let our standards slide a little bit.

It’s to be expected and if anything, we had reason to relax a little bit. The issue isn’t the need to relax for a bit.

Where I have helped new clients coming on board is guiding them to address these issues, so they don’t become habitual.  Many of the clients I train are business owners or successful entrepreneurs. I remind them that they didn’t get to where they are by letting their standards slip for any sustained period of time.

If anything, when the circumstances get compromised then we need to implement harder.  However I understand that certain things can get more tempting when we’re working from home.

The goal is to remember what the vision is and structure our behaviours to push us towards it, not pull us away.

  • If alcohol has crept in more than you’d like
  • If we are walking/moving about less
  • If we have takeaways on speed dial
  • If haven’t got back into the gym

All you need to do is start structuring your days to allow for more positive habits and reduce negative ones.

In my team we focus on things like morning routines, workout adherence, nutrition monitoring, reducing screen time and a host of other strategies to look, feel and function better.

You will become a product of your environment, does your current environment help you or hinder you?
