A total of £225,395.09 of CI Lottery funding was distributed in 2025 through the Jersey Community Foundation and the Association of Jersey Charities to projects supporting children, young people and families across Jersey.
The funding forms part of the millions of pounds generated annually through CI Lottery ticket sales, which are reinvested into charitable organisations and projects throughout the Channel Islands.
The grants support a diverse range of initiatives, from youth counselling and family support services to sports development, arts programmes and educational projects, helping organisations continue their vital work in local communities.
Through the Jersey Community Foundation, funding has been awarded to projects including:
- Youth Arts Jersey (pictured): £17,878 towards a major upgrade and refurbishment of its main hall technology.
- Wednesday Night FC: £12,000 for its Pathways to Play initiative, helping increase participation and accessibility in football.
- Jersey Basketball Association: £10,500 to support its Junior Basketball Expansion Plan.
- Jersey Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets: £4,452.60 for Windsurf Wednesdays, encouraging young people to develop confidence and water sports skills.
- Jersey Heritage: £4,750 to support local schools in recreating parts of the Bayeux Tapestry as part of Norman anniversary celebrations.
- Le Don Balleine Incorporated Association: £5,941 towards the publication of “Rînmes Rêjouis”, a Jèrriais nursery rhyme book helping preserve and promote the Island’s heritage language.
Through the Association of Jersey Charities, funding has also been awarded to a range of organisations providing direct support to children, young people and families, including:
- Jersey Youth Trust: £30,000 towards the staffing costs of five counsellors supporting young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
- Brighter Futures: £30,000 towards educational programmes for families facing challenges.
- NSPCC Jersey: £30,000 for its Letting the Future In programme, supporting children who have experienced abuse.
- Trees for Life: £30,000 towards an Education Officer role, helping young Islanders engage with nature and environmental learning.
- Brightly: £28,146 towards a part-time co-ordinator role supporting children and young people in care.
- Autism Jersey: £21,753 towards a Charitable Services Team Member role.
- St John Ambulance Jersey: £15,000 for its Young Responders Programme.
- JAYF: £14,474.49 towards the installation of CCTV to enhance safety and security.
The CI Lottery works closely with Jersey Community Foundation, the Association of Jersey Charities and the Social Investment Fund in Guernsey to ensure funds are distributed to projects making a meaningful difference in Island communities.
