Nine food and drink products from Jersey and Guernsey have received recognition in the 2026 Great Taste awards.

Products from the islands received six one-star awards and three two-star awards. Among those recognised were Honey Fudge from Jersey Fudge Pot, Pure Jersey Cloudy Sparkling Apple Juice from Field Farm and Vintage Vodka from Royal Mash.

More than 15,000 products from 3,919 companies across 116 countries were entered into this year’s awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food.

Of the products assessed, 4,286 received one star, 1,596 were awarded two stars and 306 achieved the highest three-star rating.

Entries were judged without branding or packaging by more than 800 chefs, critics, retailers, product developers, writers and other food and drink specialists over 105 days.

Products were assessed primarily on taste, as well as their appearance, aroma, texture and mouthfeel. Producers also received feedback from the judges regardless of whether their entry received an award.

John Farrand, managing director of the Guild of Fine Food, said: “Food security is becoming an increasingly pressing issue across the globe, so it feels more pertinent now than at any other time in our thirty-year history to be supporting and promoting independent producers and retailers.

“Our directory of award recipients is a rich source of data, guiding people from all walks of life to make informed decisions about their food and drink choices. Great Taste is all about celebrating craftsmanship and dedication to well-sourced local ingredients and traditional, often simple production methods, which is more important now than ever.”
