White Star Capital, a global multi-stage technology investment platform, has announced that Tony Corbin has joined the firm as chief financial officer (CFO) and General Partner.
This appointment marks the expansion of the firm’s team in Guernsey, with a team of ten now based on the island.
Coinciding with Tony’s appointment, White Star Capital has also announced that it has expanded its presence on Guernsey, with the opening of a new permanent office in St Peter Port providing an operational hub for its international investment team based out of London, New York, Paris, Singapore, Toronto, Montreal and Tokyo.
Tony brings over 17 years of experience in global financial services and alternative investment funds to White Star Capital. Before joining the firm, he was with PwC where he specialised in providing audit and advisory services to alternative investment funds with a speciality in supporting new venture capital funds as they launched and established their operations.
He has also been joined on Guernsey by Patrick Recasens Morente, White Star Capital’s Chief Legal Officer and General Partner, who made the move from Paris to Guernsey earlier this year as part of the firm’s commitment to growing its presence on the island.
