Wetwheels Jersey is returning to Guernsey this June, offering their unique service to local charities supporting individuals living with a disability.

Following a successful visit in 2023, where over 60 individuals experienced the joys of the sea, Wetwheels is set to make another impactful visit from Sunday, June 16th to Friday, June 21st, 2024.

During their stay, Wetwheels will provide a memorable and safe maritime experience, allowing participants to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of being on the water. This initiative is designed to bring joy and new experiences to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy the sea.

Wetwheels’ specially adapted vessel can accommodate up to ten passengers, including two wheelchair users, ensuring accessibility for all. All trips are provided free of charge to participating charities and individuals with scheduling subject to weather conditions.

Wetwheels Jersey invites local Guernsey charities to participate and extend this incredible experience to their clients. Interested organisations and individuals are encouraged to reach out and join us in making a positive difference in the lives of those living with disabilities.

Funded entirely by the generosity of Jersey residents, trusts, and companies, Wetwheels Jersey is committed to providing its services free of charge across both islands. This year’s visit to Guernsey will continue to be free for all users. However, with each trip costing approximately £500 and to maintain this initiative, we seek support and donations from Guernsey organisations/individuals. Contributions will help ensure that this annual extension of services remains free for years to come.

To further solidify this annual tradition and enhance our support for Guernsey, Wetwheels Jersey is looking for a liaison in Guernsey. This individual or organisation will help promote our services among local charities and facilitate collaboration with our Jersey-based team. Together, we can extend this valuable service across the Islands in future years.

For more information, to support Wetwheels, or to make a booking, please contact: Dina Rogan [email protected].
