Walkers partner Rupert Morris has been named Chair of the STEP Guernsey Branch Committee.
Rupert, who already sits as the Guernsey representative on the STEP Worldwide Council, has taken on the three-year term as the head of STEP Guernsey.
He is a Guernsey Advocate and the head of Walkers’ Channel Island Private Capital and Trusts Practice Group, and has almost 15 years’ experience as a private wealth specialist advising on private client advisory and structuring work.
“I am very pleased to have been appointed to this position – STEP plays a big role in the private client community as not just a quality watermark for thought leadership and technical expertise, but also as a forum for discussion and networking,” said Rupert.
“From my role on the STEP Worldwide Council, I also get to see how international that community is, and how the organisation connects members and practitioners here in Guernsey to those all around the world”.
Walkers’ Private Capital and Trusts team has members in its BVI, Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey offices, who frequently work with colleagues in its offices in Bermuda, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, London and Shanghai.
