Walkers’ Banking & Finance and Regulatory & Risk teams have advised Suntera Global in connection with a secured senior financing package from global investment firm Carlyle.
They acted as Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman and BVI counsel (alongside lead counsel King and Spalding) for Suntera, an independent provider of bespoke fund, corporate and private wealth services.
Their Jersey team, which advised on the Jersey law elements of the transaction, was led by partner Julia Keppe and included senior counsels Melissa Hellio and Gemma Palmer and senior associate Timur Ochkhaev.
Their Guernsey team, which advised on the Guernsey law elements of the transaction, was led by group partner Zoë Hallam and included partner Chris Hutley-Hurst and associate Rob White.
Their London team, which advised on the Cayman and BVI law aspects of the transaction, was led by partner Mark Galazzi with senior counsel Alexandra Simpson, associate Kelly Reed and senior paralegal Colin Girgenti, together with Cayman-based partner Colm Dawson and senior counsel Callum Wright.
Commenting on the transaction, Julia Keppe said: “We are absolutely delighted to have advised Suntera on this matter, working closely with our instructing counsel at King and Spalding, as well as collaborating closely with our Guernsey, London and Cayman colleagues.”
“This is a great example of our strong multi-disciplinary offering in this space; our Banking & Finance team regularly works closely with our Corporate, Regulatory and Risk colleagues to assist both lender and borrower clients.”
