Voisin Law has appointed Gaanesh Seger as an Associate in the firm’s Corporate, Commercial and Trust Department.

Mr Seger (pictured) has relocated from New Zealand to join the firm, bringing significant experience advising clients on corporate, commercial and private wealth matters, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions, capital raising, M&A, business structuring and corporate governance.

He is a New Zealand-qualified Barrister and Solicitor, admitted in 2018.

Mr Seger’s practice spans a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, and he has advised founders, growth businesses, private investors and international clients on complex transactions and projects across multiple jurisdictions. Drawing on experience gained in both specialist corporate practices and general commercial law, he brings technical expertise combined with a practical understanding of clients’ wider business and personal objectives.

Chris Le Quesne, Partner in the Corporate, Commercial and Trust Department, said: “Gaanesh stood out not only because of his technical expertise, but because of the breadth of perspective he brings. He has worked on sophisticated international transactions involving listed companies, private equity sponsors and founder-led businesses, while also retaining an appreciation for the wider commercial and personal considerations that matter to clients.

“As demand for our services continues to grow, we have been focused on attracting lawyers who can add genuine depth to our offering and help us deliver the high-quality, responsive advice our clients expect. Gaanesh is a great fit for the team and for our clients, and we are delighted to welcome him to Voisin Law at such an exciting stage in the firm’s development.”

Gaanesh Seger said: “I was attracted to Jersey because it is a jurisdiction that sits at the crossroads of global business, private wealth and investment, which makes it a particularly interesting place to practise.

“Relocating from New Zealand is a significant move, but it is one my wife and I are excited about. I am looking forward to establishing myself in Jersey, getting involved in the local business community and helping clients navigate opportunities.”
