Cupid shot his arrow at Jersey Cheshire Home this week to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a lovely way!
Residents drew and wrote their loved ones heartfelt messages on some tablecloths and were presented with some valentine’s of their own from the children from CentrePoint nursery who popped in to see them all and have a special sing-a-long.
As William Shakespeare said, ‘If music be the food of love, play on’ and on it played when a local musician arrived to play some beautiful classical music in the dining room which was all decked out in romantic red.
The day was supported by SRM Accountancy whose help provided the food of love for residents, a menu including passion fruit fizz as an aperitif, red velvet tomato soup followed by either a rosette of smoked salmon, aromatic duck or goats cheese wellington and finished off with a decadent Black Forest gateau.
Commenting on the event, Shakera S Rolle-Manuel of SRM Accountancy said: “We were delighted to be involved in this very special day. The ethos of Jersey Cheshire Home is to provide a loving environment and Valentine’s Day was the perfect opportunity to celebrate this. It was a day full of love for everyone involved!”
Jersey Cheshire Home host a series of ‘themed days’ in the home throughout the year and these bring much joy to the residents. You can find out more about these themed events and how to get involved here.
