Independent Jersey trust company, Alex Picot Trust, has announced the appointment of Hannah Roynon-Jones (to the right in the photo) and Sarah McBrearty (to the left in the photo) to the Board of Directors effective from 1st October 2020.
Miss Roynon-Jones and Miss McBrearty have both been promoted from the position of Associate Director as part of the Company’s continued expansion and to ensure continuity for clients as part of the Company’s succession plans.
They join Andrew Le Cheminant, Derek Rhodes and Chris Cotillard on the board of Alex Picot Trust Company Ltd.
Andrew Le Cheminant, Director of Alex Picot Trust, said: “We congratulate Hannah and Sarah on their appointment to the Board, marking the arrival of a new generation of leadership for Alex Picot Trust. They have both shown great commitment to the Company and individually bring the skills and perspective which will be invaluable to us going forward. Sarah represents the positive outcome of the ‘home grown’ strategy we have always stood by with her joining us as a trainee school leaver and progressing to Director in just 12 years. Meanwhile, since she joined us in 2016, Hannah has successfully grown our tax services team to deliver an independent tax service line for our clients.”

The new board directors are wholeheartedly committed to retaining the traditional values upon which our business is built and in which our clients take great comfort. Miss Roynon-Jones is a Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP). She holds a BA (Hons) in History & Culture and the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients. She joined Alex Picot Trust in January 2016 from a big four accountancy firm. She was named ePrivateclient UK Top 35 under 35 in 2019 and in the Channel Islands Top 35 under 35 in 2019 and 2020.
Miss McBrearty joined Alex Picot Trust in 2008. She progressed her career within the firm qualifying as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and qualified to become a member of The Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT). In 2020 she was named alongside her peers in the ePrivateclient Channel Islands Top 35 under 35.
