SunWorks has announced the two shortlisted finalists for its 2025 £10,000 Solar Giveaway: Eyecan and Oxygen Therapy Jersey.
Public voting is now open to decide which local organisation will receive a free solar panel installation this September.
The competition, now in its second year, aims to support Jersey charities and community groups by reducing their energy costs and environmental footprint through renewable energy.
“We shortlisted Eyecan and Oxygen Therapy Jersey for the 2025 Solar Giveaway based on their exceptional commitment to community wellbeing and their readiness to embrace sustainable energy solutions,” said Mark Brandon, Co-Owner and Managing Director at SunWorks.
“Following site surveys, both locations were found to be electrically suitable with roofs in good condition – criteria that unfortunately ruled out some other applicants.
“Their proposals clearly demonstrated how renewable energy would help them continue delivering essential services to the community, making them deserving finalists in this year’s selection.”
The winner will be announced on 31st August, with the solar panel installation scheduled to take place in early September.
“This year’s finalists truly reflect the spirit of the campaign; empowering purpose-driven organisations through clean energy,” added Mark Brandon. “We hope the public gets behind them and helps decide which charity will benefit from this year’s solar installation.”
