The Citywealth Powerwomen Awards International took place on 6th March, just a few days ahead of International Women’s Day, at the private members club 12 Hay Hill in London’s exclusive Mayfair district.
Created over fourteen years ago by Karen Jones, multi award-winning CEO and founder of Citywealth, the event highlights the achievements of individuals and companies that promote female leadership and support career progression for women in the wealth sector.
The evening was hosted by the legendary Eve Pollard OBE, a true Powerwoman herself, who is often referred to as the First Lady of Fleet Street because of her long distinguished career in journalism. She paid special tribute to Karen’s remarkable accomplishments, breaking into the world of finance with the creation of Citywealth – an achievement especially difficult for a woman 20 years ago.
