The Ofqual-accredited Digital Leadership Programme is now opening enrolment for an apprenticeship version of the two-year course that sees delegates attending for two mornings a week, with occasional weekend and evening sessions, meaning employers can now offer it to their own employees as an investment in their professional development.

The programme covers essential business leadership skills, technology including web and app development, digital marketing, media production, entrepreneurship including financial management, creativity and innovation, and communications including public relations and influencer marketing.

In addition to the learning at the Digital Jersey Academy in St Helier, delegates will have access to extensive online support. Graduates will gain a degree-equivalent Level 6 Diploma in Digital Leadership and a CIM Level 6 Diploma in Digital Marketing.

Digital Leadership Programme Director, Daniel Rowles, commented: “We know organisations need to adapt to thrive and survive, even more so as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are delighted to be able to offer this apprenticeship version of our Digital Leadership Programme to help Jersey businesses invest in their own teams and equip them with precisely the skills that digitally-focused firms require. Since the launch of this programme, we have kept everything we do aligned with the real-world needs of industry, meaning students are constantly applying what they learn to projects based on what employers need right now. This is about making Jersey one of the world’s most digitally-skilled workforces”.

Digital Jersey CEO, Tony Moretta, commented: “Ever since the launch of the Digital Leadership Programme, we’ve seen how every person who’s enrolled has gained so much, and has been able to see the benefit of equipping themselves with the skills a digital economy needs. To be able to offer an apprenticeship version of the course means the island’s business leaders can seize the opportunity to put their own teams on the front foot. It’s a win for their workforce, and it’s a win for their organisation”.

Fees are £4,625 per year, which includes all costs including professional membership fees and assessment charges.
