The finalists for the 2018 Guernsey Sure Customer Service Awards have been announced after more than 4,000 nominations were submitted over the summer from across the Bailiwick.
The awards are in their eighth year and see businesses, individuals and teams from Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Alderney being nominated by the public for their commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
This year saw an overhaul of the award categories with specific industry categories for leisure and tourism, retail, professional services and travel introduced to the list following feedback from customers. A category for ‘digital innovation’ was also added to recognise companies that support customers through digital channels.
Thousands of entries were received online via the award’s new mobile-friendly digital nomination platform.
Sure’s chief customer officer, Charlotte Dunsterville, said: “We live on a small island, and word travels fast if someone has a good or bad customer experience, so providing great service really is vital to the success of a business.
“The Customer Service Awards highlight excellent customer experiences and recognise those businesses and individuals who go above and beyond and Sure is proud to be a part of celebrating their achievements.”
The judging took place at the Old Government House Hotel.

“Introducing the new categories and the digital voting platform this year meant that customers were able to nominate a business or individual more easily,” said Jill Clark, organiser of the Customer Service Awards.
