The third Leo Seeker book is launched this week, with three more stories about the little Search and Rescue plane raising funds for Channel Islands Air Search.
Leo Seeker is a small Search & Rescue plane from Guernsey. He works with friends in Jersey, France and Alderney to rescue those in difficulty at sea.
The first book Meet Leo, aimed at children aged between 5 and 8, was launched in 2022. This was followed by a second, More Stories about Leo in 2023.
This month sees the launch of the third book in the series, It’s Leo Again.
As with the previous books, the latest edition includes three stories: The Royal Visit, Dead Fred and the Empty Coffin and Leo finds Adrian B. Leo is joined in his adventures by his friends: Albert, the red French helicopter; Mona, the green and orange lifeboat who also lives in France; Christine, the ambulance boat; as well as the blue and orange lifeboats of the Channel Islands.
All the stories are based upon real-life rescues carried out by the Channel Islands’ unique Search and Rescue Service – Channel Islands Air Search. A share of proceeds from each book go towards the service.
The first two books have already proved very popular with young readers – and it is hoped that the third will not only prove just as popular but will also help raise more funds for CI Air Search, which is supported almost entirely by voluntary donations.
