The Evolution Group supports Safer again this Christmas
Share on LinkedInTwitterFacebookEmail

The Evolution Group has worked hard as a team once again this year to bring a bit of festive cheer to the residents of Safer’s refuge by putting together Christmas hampers and funding a children’s Christmas party for them.

Safer has been The Evolution Group’s chosen charity for the past two years and for the second year running the team wanted to provide the individuals requiring Safer’s services at this time of year with some little luxuries that they’re likely to be missing.

The Evolution Group’s CEO Matt Warren explained: “We all head into the festive season with hopes of it being a special time full of cheerfulness and joy, but the
individuals relying upon Safer’s services at this time of year will undoubtedly be finding it difficult.”

Safer supplied a list of anonymous details of their residents, highlighting their interests, and whether they were there as an individual or part of a family. The Evolution Group team then created a list of gifts, split it amongst themselves, bought all the required items and spent a festive evening together in the office wrapping gifts and assembling the hampers, before delivering them to Safer to be distributed in time for Christmas.

The Evolution Group also sponsored a Christmas party for children currently using Safer’s Children and Young People’s Violence Advisors (CYPVA) service. The party took place in early December and the children enjoyed party games and plenty of Christmas treats.

Matt Warren continued: “It’s heart-breaking to think of members of our community going through such a difficult time at Christmas, especially children. We hope the hampers and party will help to lift their spirits and bring them some Christmas joy.

“The task of the organisation of over 80 gifts being chosen, allocated to team members to buy, wrapped and put in the right hamper and then delivered on time
was all managed by the newest member of our team, Junior Analyst Tobias Higgs.

“I’d like to say a big thank you and well done to him. It was a complex job, and he put his planning and organisation skills to great use!”

Safer’s Head of Services, Naomi Wood, said: “We’re so grateful to The Evolution Group for supporting the Christmas party and providing such thoughtful hampers for the second year in a row. On behalf of everyone at Safer and in particular our clients, who I know will be very appreciative, I’d like to say a big thank you. The hampers are so personalised, and I’m sure each recipient will be so touched to know that someone has thought to bring them happiness at Christmas.”
