T&G Structural Engineers have augmented their growing pan-CI presence and experience through the appointment of Andrew Turner as Guernsey-based Senior Engineer.
Andrew (shown in the picture above) joins the company after a lengthy period of engagement in the Gulf Region where he held progressively senior engineering and project management positions.
Among the well-known developments he worked on there were the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Burj Al Arab and The W Hotel and Residences on The Palm. His roles included appointments as projects director, director of design and construction and as managing partner of Hepher Project Management.
“Working abroad presented remarkable opportunities to gain a breadth of experience through involvement in complex commercial and leisure developments and challenging construction projects,” explained Andrew. “Being involved in such prestigious structures and engaging with exceptional clients and colleagues added to the rewarding experience.
“But having started my career working in the UK after gaining an Honours Degree in Engineering from the University of Birmingham, I was ready for a return closer to home and a new challenge.”
That new challenge is taking up the recently created position of Senior Engineer based in T&G’s Guernsey office. Importantly for T&G add Guernsey-based senior engineer to growing team and T&G, alongside focusing on client needs the new role is also an opportunity to help support the expansion and development of the company in both Guernsey and the wider Channel Islands.
“‘It has long been our intention to more closely integrate T&G’s Guernsey and Jersey operations,” confirms the company’s managing director Johnny Moffett. “Clients in both islands would have seen this happening through the sharing of resources, changes in branding and our newly launched company website.”
