Tehya Morgan and Alex Vibert are the latest graduates from Ogier’s English solicitor training programme.
Tehya (shown in the main picture) joins Guernsey’s Private Wealth team as an associate, and Alex joins as an associate in the Jersey Corporate team.
The two newly-qualified solicitors successfully completed Ogier’s two-year training scheme, which is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and sees trainees take on up to four seats, including time in litigation, as well as the Professional Skills Course and an experiential litigation course that includes a mock trial.
“Ogier is one of only two Channel Island firms to have invested in a training scheme regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the stream of high-quality associates we are being able to welcome into our teams in Jersey and Guernsey is a real testament to the success of the scheme. Congratulations to Tehya and Alex,” said the programme’s leader, partner Richard Daggett, a former graduate of the scheme.
Before joining the programme, Tehya joined Ogier as a bursary student in 2014 and became a paralegal in 2018. Her previous supervisor, managing associate Chris Hards from the Guernsey Private Wealth team, said: “I have had the pleasure of working with Tehya for the last four years, initially as a paralegal and latterly as she completed her traineeship.
“Tehya has proven herself to be a dedicated, thoughtful and enthusiastic lawyer. We are delighted to be welcoming her as an associate into the growing Private Wealth team and have every confidence that she will continue to provide excellent client service.”
Alex’s previous supervisor, counsel Daniel Maine, said: “I am delighted to hear that Alex has decided to qualify with Ogier – he is committed, a pleasure to work with and has demonstrated that he has the key skills needed to provide a strong service to our clients.”
