Baker Tilly Channel Islands has announced the appointment of Phil Irvine as a Director to lead their Tax service offering, a role designed to expand the firm’s tax practice in the Channel Islands.
Phil (pictured) brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Baker Tilly, having spent the last decade with one of the ‘Big 4′ accountancy firms.
Phil joined Baker Tilly Channel Islands in February 2024, and his extensive background in providing both Jersey and UK Corporation tax compliance and advisory services makes him a valuable addition to the team. He has a proven track record in delivering local tax advice and advising on cross-border transactions for multinational businesses, leveraging Jersey’s position as a renowned international finance centre.
Phil graduated from Northumbria University in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in 2018.
Ewan Spraggon, Managing Director at Baker Tilly Channel Islands, commented on Phil’s appointment: “We are thrilled to welcome Phil to our leadership team. His deep knowledge of tax law and strategic approach to tax planning will be instrumental in growing our tax practice.
“Phil’s experience with both local and international tax issues positions us well to meet the evolving needs of our clients. We look forward to seeing the impact he will make in driving our commitment to excellence.”
Phil Irvine expressed his enthusiasm for his new role: “I am excited to join Baker Tilly Channel Islands and lead the tax department. The firm’s reputation for integrity, quality, and client service is something I greatly admire. I look forward to contributing to our clients’ success through innovative and effective tax solutions.”
