Suntera Global has formally moved its teams in Guernsey into a new office at Plaza House, Admiral Park, St Peter Port.
The new purpose-built office, spanning some 17,600 sq. ft, offers a high quality, flexible working environment and is the Island’s first fully accredited ‘BREAAM rated’ building.
The move brings together over 130 people in a single, modern, workspace.. The new environment will enhance collaboration, support staff wellbeing, and deliver a seamless experience for clients. It also unites teams that were previously split across two sites, following the acquisitions of Carey Commercial and Nedgroup Trust.
Leading the Guernsey team is recently appointed Managing Director in Guernsey, Stuart Simon, who takes over at the helm following the retirement of former Suntera Guernsey Managing Director, Jim Gilligan.
Formerly a key member of the Carey Commercial team, Stuart has more than 20 years of experience in the international financial services industry. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Stuart brings a breadth of experience in private equity & fund administration, corporate and fiduciary services, and considerable technical expertise across finance, transparency reporting, IT, and systems development. In his role, he will lead and grow Suntera’s Guernsey operations.
Stuart commented: “This move highlights Suntera’s long-term commitment to Guernsey as a leading international finance centre, while also bringing our team together under one roof to foster a greater collaborative and supportive environment to work in. It’s a really exciting opportunity for us to operate in a modern, flexible office space and, as a building with high energy efficiency ratings, it also aligns well with our own Group-wide ESG strategy.”
David Hudson, CEO, Suntera Global, added: “This is another significant milestone for our Guernsey team and reflects our confidence in the jurisdiction and its continued importance within our global strategy. Bringing our people together in such a high-quality, purpose-built space is about more than simply moving offices, it’s about investing in an environment that enables collaboration, innovation and a really positive employee experience.
“We are committed to ensuring our teams across all jurisdictions have access to well-designed, efficient working environments that enhance productivity and operational excellence, and Plaza House is a clear demonstration of that ambition. I am incredibly proud of the work our Guernsey colleagues have done to reach this point, and I am excited to see how this new space supports the next phase of our growth.”
