Guernsey Arts once again are inviting artists of all ages, media and experience levels to submit their work for the eagerly anticipated annual Guernsey Arts Open.
The Guernsey Arts Open is returning to the George Crossan Gallery (pictured) in 2024 to showcase the impressive variety of works being produced on Island by local artists. Coordinating this show has very quickly become a favourite for the Guernsey Arts team and the Island’s creative communities. Guernsey Arts are very proud to be hosting this show once again for the exhibition’s 4th consecutive year.
Since the first Guernsey Arts Open in 2021, a steady increase of artists have submitted their work for consideration, with last year’s show culminating in an impressive 110 artists showcased in the exhibition space.
Whether you’re a budding artist or well established in the local arts scene, the Guernsey Arts Open is the perfect opportunity to meet and be inspired by other local artists and to find different ways of how you can get involved in the arts scene.
The goal of the Guernsey Arts Open is to promote the Bailiwick’s local artists. The exhibition gives artists the opportunity to exhibit their work in a prominent public space. The Open champions the value that art has within the community and since its inception, the exhibition has launched the careers and profiles of several artists on island and beyond. All participating artists are encouraged to price their work and receive support in promotion.
A judging panel will determine which submissions will be exhibited within the gallery space however every submission will be put into a digital showcase that will be displayed on screens as part of the exhibition, as well as being available on the Guernsey Arts website.
The deadline for submissions is 30th September and the submission form can be found here.
