Jersey’s STEP branch
The Jersey branch of STEP was established in 1993 and is one of the largest and most active in the world.
The Branch is run by a committee of nine professionals drawn from across the island’s wealth management industry.
As an offshore jurisdiction the Branch recognises the importance and value of exposing its membership to outside expertise through monthly CPD seminars and an annual day-long international conference which form the centre piece of the branch’s activities.
At any one time some 300 of the 1,200 members of the Jersey Branch are typically studying towards their STEP qualifications. The STEP Jersey Student Awards scheme rewards those students who excel in their exams.
Branch Committee members sit on several STEP Worldwide boards and committees contributing to the ongoing development of the Society’s aims and objectives. Members are active locally through the Branch’s links with other professional organisations such as the Jersey Association of Trust Companies, Jersey Finance Limited, Trust Law Working Party.
