The Medical Specialist Group has partnered with Jersey-based data specialists Calligo to deliver a cloud-based technology infrastructure that will underpin the way it delivers healthcare.

Calligo, a data-first cloud business, with major clients in the Channel Islands and globally, was selected after a rigorous tender process.

MSG chief executive Jon Buckland, explains, “Our partnership with Calligo will give us a secure, resilient, and fit for purpose technology infrastructure, which will allow us to deliver a whole range of digital projects to improve the way we work together and the way we provide services to our patients.

“In particular it will put us in a great position to make the most of EPR, the new electronic patient record system being developed with HSC, which will improve healthcare and ultimately save lives.”

In a three-month programme starting this week, Calligo will implement its leading, data-first public cloud environment, CloudCore, that will provide unrivalled data security and privacy.

Julian Box, founder and CEO of Calligo says, “I am delighted that Calligo is entering into a new partnership with the MSG, one of Guernsey’s premier businesses. It is a partnership that will help drive MSG’s digital transformation journey, and as such, Calligo will be working closely with MSG to deliver our technology stack that gives their business a secure, scalable, resilient and a data focused infrastructure to support the delivery of future digital projects, programmes, and services.”
