Skipton International has formed a long-term partnership with St Martin’s AC, also known as Saints, a Guernsey football club dedicated to providing equal opportunities for all children wishing to play the sport.

As a fully inclusive club, Saints is committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background or ability, has access to football. Inspired by this ethos, Skipton International has stepped in as a key supporter, helping to expand opportunities for young players across the island.

As part of this partnership, two brand-new tournaments to inspire the next generation of footballers will be introduced:

  • The Skipton Saints 7’s – A new island-wide youth tournament, bringing together teams from all Guernsey clubs for a high-energy, competitive event.
  • The Skipton Saints Minis Tournament – A season-long series of matches between Saints’ junior teams, children in Years 2 to 5 (up to age 11), and clubs from across the island.

These initiatives will provide more opportunities for over 220 young players to develop their skills, experience the joy of the game, and build friendships within the football community, whilst proudly wearing their new branded football shirts.

Matthew Warren, Saints’ Director of Sponsorship & Fundraising, expressed his gratitude for Skipton’s support: “This partnership is fantastic news for young footballers in Guernsey. With Skipton International’s backing, we can create even more opportunities for children to get involved, develop their skills, and most importantly, enjoy playing football. The real winners here are the kids, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”

St Martin’s AC welcomes players from age five and above and is committed to eliminating discrimination and fostering equal opportunities for all. The club’s mission aligns closely with Skipton International’s dedication to enriching the community, making this partnership a perfect match.

Aaron Walden, Skipton International’s Senior Commercial Manager, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are thrilled to support Saints, a club that truly represents the values of inclusivity, teamwork, and community. At Skipton, we believe in creating opportunities for young people, and this partnership allows us to play a role in helping children across Guernsey access the sport they love.”
