Guides will share highlights of their favourite walks online for this year’s Spring Walking Festival.
Although guided walks and festival events have been cancelled, the festival is still going ahead as organisers aim to encourage people to get involved while adhering to social distancing requirements.
Seven of Guernsey’s accredited guides will be offering a virtual taster of their guided walks, which will be streamed on VisitGuernsey on Saturday 23 May, starting at 10am.
Gill Girard will kick the day off with a tour of the Little Chapel. Her colleagues will then follow with snippets of walks exploring the island’s WWII and medieval history, as well as Guernsey’s influence on artist Renoir and writer Victor Hugo.
Each film will last around 60 seconds and the full schedule is now live.
