Following the Guernsey Competition & Regulatory Authority’s direction to local telecoms providers to reduce their mobile termination rates in June 2022, Sky Mobile has now added Guernsey numbers to UK calling plans.
This change will give the option for Islanders’ family and friends in the UK to call Guernsey for free as part of their standard plan.
Guernsey Competition & Regulatory Authority (GCRA) CEO Michael Byrne said: “This is a really positive move for the island as we have worked diligently with Ofcom and the mobile providers over the last few years to push for Guernsey numbers to be added back into UK call packages.”
The GCRA, will in conjunction with Ofcom, continue to work with the other UK providers to encourage them to follow the same route as Sky
