EY has announced a number of senior promotions to manager and director positions across the Channel Islands.
Áine Slater has been promoted to director, while Emily Bodkin and Zaeem Youssouf have been promoted to senior manager all within the tax team. Iaan Erasmus, Debbie Maclachlan and Peter Whitsey has been promoted to manager within the assurance team.
These promotions reflect EY’s investment in its people and their long-term careers. Those who have been promoted have demonstrated professional growth, high levels of performance and dedication to exceptional client service.

Mrs Slater specialises in Jersey and UK tax compliance and tax advisory work. She has extensive knowledge of both local taxation and overseas taxation from an offshore perspective. Mrs Slater also has a detailed and practical knowledge of offshore reporting and regulatory issues, including BEPS.
Mrs Bodkin has been with EY since 2010, having joined the firm as a post A-Level school leaver. She specialises in all aspects of local Guernsey tax and also leads our payroll services across the Channel Islands. Mrs Bodkin provides Guernsey tax compliance and advisory services to individuals, companies and partnerships, and regularly advises on employment taxes, including the treatment of flexible benefit schemes and benefits in kind.
Mr Youssouf is part of EY’s Channel Islands private client and trust team. He has extensive experience of working with High Net Worth Individuals and offshore trustees, advising on UK and Jersey tax compliance and tax efficient structuring. He also works with a number of UK property developers and real estate companies based offshore, advising on the UK transactions in land regime and wider corporation tax impacts to real estate businesses.
Mr Erasmus qualified in South Africa before joining EY in Guernsey in 2014. He focuses on the wealth & asset management industry, predominantly private equity and listed funds. He also has experience of auditing Guernsey captive insurers.
Mrs Maclachlan has a vast amount of experience across the financial services and retail industries. She has a detailed knowledge of accounting standards and local regulatory and statutory law requirements for financial statements.
Mr Whitsey has a wealth of experience within the financial services industries. During his time at EY, Mr Whitsey completed a client secondment where he implemented new global client acceptance procedures to ensure compliance with local regulation.
