RBS International has appointed Stuart Foster to the role of Managing Director, Institutional Banking, one of a series of new leadership appointments across the jurisdictions.
In January, the bank launched its new vision to ‘become a bank that’s easy to deal with’. To support this, RBS International has reviewed how its business is organised in each jurisdiction and finalised local leadership teams in each jurisdiction.
Funds Banking, Financial Corporate Service providers, Real Estate Finance, NatWest Trustee and Depositary Services and Luxembourg Depository Services now form a new ‘Institutional Banking’ division.
Stuart, who joined the RBS Group in 2000, has worked in a variety of management posts in NatWest as well as eight years in several Structured Finance roles in RBS Global Banking and Markets. Most recently, he was Head of Financial Institutions & Professional Coverage with responsibility for financial institutions, professional services, education, charities and healthcare, accountable for sector strategy and risk appetite across the commercial bank.
Stuart’s role as Managing Director of Institutional Banking will see him join the Executive Committee and be responsible for delivering the Institutional Banking strategy as well as joining the Board of NatWest Trustee and Depositary Services.
Congratulating him on his appointment, Andrew McLaughlin, CEO RBS International, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Stuart to this new role. His extensive experience in corporate banking, alongside an insightful understanding of the institutional market, makes him ideally suited to lead the drive forward in support of our new vision across all our jurisdictions.”
