Private bank, Investec Bank (Channel Islands) has announced two senior appointments within its Trust & Corporate Team.
Andy Smith has been appointed Head of the Trust & Corporate Team across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Andy joined Investec in 2014 and has over 20 years’ experience of international banking in the local financial services sector. Andy said: “I am proud to be leading a very experienced team of banking professionals at Investec and by working in partnership with our clients, continue the significant business growth we have seen in our key jurisdictions“. As well as maintaining a keen interest in sport, Andy is a Director of Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey.
Mark Le Mottée will take over from Andy as Head of the Jersey Trust & Corporate Team, whilst also retaining his current responsibility for leading the bank’s corporate finance offering in the sector, with a focus on lending.
Mark joined Investec in December 2018 and has 14 years’ banking experience within large international banking teams including seven years providing structured property finance for large real estate transactions across all property sectors within the UK. Mark is a Chartered Associate of The London Institute of Banking.
