Will joins Santander International from his previous role as Partner at Rubicon Fund Management. He initially joined its London office in 2006, becoming Chief Technologist, before relocating to Jersey where he served as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Technology Officer.

Earlier in his career Will worked in the UK as an IT Director with an online pension platform provider, and also worked for a major investment bank, creating its award-winning FX Research and Analytics Platform.

With a strong background in risk, technology, and management, Will brings a broad set of financial development skills to Santander International.

James Pountney, Managing Director, Santander International, said: “This is an exciting time for Santander International. Will understands the way we are heading and has the technical skills and insight to help us continue our digital development and keep us at the forefront of banking in the Crown Dependencies.

“Will brings an incredible wealth of high-level financial services experience to the role and we are looking forward to working with him to take Santander International into the next phase of our growth in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.”

Originally from London, Will has lived in Jersey since 2014. In his spare time Will is a keen cyclist and triathlete, and coaches two junior age groups at Jersey Rugby Club.

Will said: “Technology has a huge role to play in this current period of digital transformation in the international banking industry and Santander International has recognised this opportunity.  I’m delighted to be able to work with Santander International to focus on initiatives that understand and address our customers’ needs, placing them at the centre of our development process.”
