Associate Matthew Davies, a member of Ogier’s Dispute Resolution team in Jersey, has been named in eprivateclient’s Top 35 under 35 UK list, identifying him as one of the leading practitioners in both the Channel Islands and the UK.
The list aims to identify, recognise, introduce and promote the rising stars of the private client profession. Factors considered during the judging process – undertaken by senior members of PAM Insight’s editorial team – include an individual’s achievements over the past 12 months and the number of nominations they received.
Matthew has a broad range of experience, including contentious trust matters, regulatory matters, insolvencies and commercial and financial disputes and has recently passed the exams to qualify as a Jersey Advocate.
One nominator said of Matthew: “He has demonstrated enormous potential in the way he has acted on contentious private wealth matters, and will no doubt continue to impress as he gets more experience”. Matthew was named an IFC Associate of the Year in the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2020 and was also included on the eprivateclient Top 35 Under 35 Channel Islands list 2021.
Head of Ogier’s Dispute Resolution team in Jersey, Nick Williams, said: “This is just the latest industry recognition for Matthew, and it is thoroughly well deserved. Held in high esteem by colleagues and clients alike, Matthew is truly building a name for himself, and I have no doubt he will continue to make an exceptional contribution to both the firm and his profession in the years to come.”
