RBS International Guernsey has recently expanded its Institutional Banking division with two senior appointments and several senior promotions.

Simon Veron has taken up the post of Relationship Director and is responsible for supporting RBS International’s existing and new clients with their institutional banking requirements, particularly in the area of environmental, social and governance (ESG) which is attracting increased importance and focus. Simon’s banking career includes fifteen years in Guernsey working in roles spanning corporate, private client, fund administration and fiduciary.

Kimberley Perry also joins as Relationship Director with 10 years’ experience within financial services in Guernsey, including providing a range of services to intermediary, family office and private clients across Switzerland, United Kingdom and South Africa. More recently she also headed up a new business team at an asset management company before joining RBS International at the start of 2021.

As well as these two senior appointments, several members of the RBS International Institutional Banking team in Guernsey have been promoted including Filipe Cardoso-Smale, Angus Rather and Tom O’Neil to become Relationship Directors, whilst Luc Blanchard, Garrick Jones and Catia Mendonca become Associate Directors.

Rob Girard, Head of Institutional Banking and Island Director for RBS International Guernsey commented: “These senior appointments and promotions are testament to our ongoing investment in our institutional banking proposition in Guernsey. Our people are integral to the continuation of the successful growth trajectory that we have experienced over many years. Businesses have had to adapt to a different way of working as a result of the global pandemic, and as a bank we have invested heavily in our people and our technologies to ensure we are a bank that is easy and effective to deal with.

“Our commitment to developing our in-house talent, as well as adding complementary skills from new colleagues joining from outside of the business gives our teams added breadth of experience and knowledge to best cater to our clients’ needs and long-term strategic goals in our chosen markets”.
