There are even more ways to get involved in the RBC Super League Triathlon Community Challenge, secure vital funds for Mind Jersey and win some prizes as Jersey residents are encouraged to make a big push towards the 100,000km target.
With the original 20,000km mark having been smashed in just a week, Super League and RBC upped the ante – hit 100,000km by September 20 and RBC will double their donation to Mind Jersey to a whopping £40,000.
Despite the amazing efforts so far, there is still a long way to go to ensure the increased donation is triggered. Thanks to the support of the RBC SLT Community Challenge partners, there are even more ways to take part with friends, family and colleagues, and win some amazing prizes along the way.
- RBC have not only pledged £40,000 to Mind Jersey if the new 100,000km target is reached but is also challenging schools to join in by offering the chance for a virtual visit from a Super League athlete. Simply select your school from the list when signing up to be in with a chance to win
- Mourant is encouraging businesses to get active via a push in the corporate sector, where health and wellness is more important than ever. Select your company at sign-up and the business making the best push will win a VIP table for 10 at RBC Super League Triathlon Jersey 2021
- Ravenscroft has their staff and ambassadors committed to helping and are challenging people to ‘Go The Extra Mile’ by celebrating three people who really push the boundaries to collect their kilometers across the swim, bike and run; and those who rack up the most km can win signed SLT merchandise and RBC SLT Jersey 2021 age group race places
- Visit Jersey is offering Hapi and Big Maggys vouchers to three people who tag #TheIslandBreak showcasing their training in beautiful Jersey destinations
- JT is connecting the Island by offering five fitness watches as prizes for photos of participants getting the kilometers in with friends and family, tagging @SuperLeagueTriathlon and @JTSocial with the hashtag #WinAWearable
You can also win spot prizes along the way by submitting photos on the platform or by using #RBCSLT20FOR20
Haydn Taylor, managing director of Ravenscroft in Jersey, said: “Ravenscroft has supported Super League Triathlon since it first came to Jersey and each year it has evolved and grown to become the biggest sporting event in the Channel Islands with thousands of spectators watching from across the world.
“It’s obviously disappointing that it can’t happen as planned but the team has done a phenomenal job to create a community challenge which will bring islanders together. Our Ravenscroft team and sporting ambassadors will be getting involved and we are looking forward to hearing more from islanders who are going the extra mile”.
Mourant Jersey Managing Partner, Daniel Birtwistle, said: “We’re really pleased to partner with SLT in encouraging everyone in the business community to get involved in this challenge that aims to get employees together to take part in clocking up kilometres, while promoting and embracing team spirit.
“We’re passionate about the wellbeing of our employees, their families and our clients, so I’m pleased to say Team Mourant is putting its best foot forward to log as much mileage as possible in this challenge. We’re confident in our collective ability as a community to smash the target that’s been set and I’m really proud of how many colleagues have signed up and taken on this challenge”.
Daragh McDermott, Managing Director, JT, said: “Enabling people to successfully overcome challenges is at the very heart of RBC SLT Jersey, and given how 2020 has gone so far, we’ve never been more proud to support them in helping connect our community and bring people together in a new and exciting way. It has also been a year when our physical and mental health has come into sharp focus, and that makes this new challenge even more important.
“We’ll be encouraging everyone to get involved and even contributing a few kilometres will help Jersey reach the total, and to generate the essential funds from RBC for Mind Jersey. Since we can’t all get together physically for the SLT this year, through our involvement JT can help our community to connect virtually instead using our world class connectivity.
“We see this challenge as a perfect opportunity for Jersey to come together after a really tough year so far, and help to raise funds for a charity whilst keeping fit and having fun. We’ll also be providing some tech wearables as prizes throughout the campaign so keep an eye on JT’s social media”.
