The Qi Group of companies, made up of Quidsin.com and Qi Finance, has a new boss.
Steve Ryan joins as CEO of the group which has a presence in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
Before joining, he founded PBS Insurance Limited and Acorn Mortgages Limited, launched several mortgage and finance companies in Jersey, where he has lived since 1996, and worked with major financial institutions in the UK.
Peter Shirreffs, Group Chairman and former interim CEO, said: “We feel truly privileged to have attracted Steve to join our group. I’ve known him for many, many years, and he has a world of business and lending experience, exactly what we need to grow our products to compete at the highest level.”

Steve has been brought on board to take the Qi brand and its key lines of business from its start-up position of rapid growth to a state of continued strength.”
Steve said: “I’ve worked with large organisations and realise that I’m not a fan of institutions. I work best with creative, spirited, forward-thinking teams. Qi comes with its own unique, friendly, approachable personality. The company manages to be IT-platform based as well as extremely people-focused which attracts like-minded people.”
