The Princes Bar at Havre des Pas has just finished a year of fundraising and awareness for the Jersey Heart Support Group.

They have raised the incredible sum of £10823.82

The year was organised by owner Sarah Burns, who selects a charity every year to support.

Some of the events organised included a quiz, Christmas Day swim, Mulled wine sales (courtesy of Sarahs Dad!) and two big events to finish , a skydive ( with 9 brave jumpers!) and a CPR/defibrillator awareness afternoon in the pub.

The awareness afternoon also saw the presentation by the Celtic FC Supporters club donating £2000 to three charities, JHSG, Brighter Futures and ABC Jersey-Breast Cancer Support and the afternoon culminated in the unveiling of an AED (defibrillator) on the outside of the pub which is accessible for the public to use.

Mark Harris, Secretary of the Hersey Heart Support Group said: “The Jersey Heart Support Group would like to send a huge thank you to Sarah and the Prince’s Bar for all their hard work and fundraising and helping to improve cardiac support on the Island.”
