Philip’s Footprints Pregnancy After Loss Support Group is a free, informal, and welcoming meet-up for anyone who is expecting a baby after the devastating experience of baby loss.
For pregnancies after loss it is truly a journey of emotions – a time filled with joy and hope, but also fear and grief. It can be a worrying time, even when all is going well.
But the charity also know just how much can be gained from connecting with others who truly understand. Their Pregnancy After Loss support group offers a safe space to talk about hopes and fears navigating another pregnancy, find understanding, coping strategies and connection.
The group provides a safe, non-judgemental space where parents can share their feelings, worries, and hopes with others who understand the unique challenges of pregnancy after loss. Sessions are facilitated by trained bereavement support volunteers, ensuring that every parent feels heard and supported.
The group is hosted by charity trustee Rachna Stear and a midwife. Rachna said: “I know first-hand the unique mix of hope, fear and grief that comes with pregnancy after a loss and I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive space so others don’t have to go through this alone.
“Our support group helps parents feel less alone, offering a place to talk openly and find comfort among others who truly ‘get it’. Sometimes, just knowing you are not the only one feeling this way can make a huge difference.”
