Portsmouth International Port has won the International Quality Organisation of the Year award at the prestigious 2019 International Quality Awards.
Organised by the Chartered Quality Institute, the awards celebrate excellence in the quality sector, and acknowledges the contribution of the quality profession in enhancing the reputation of organisations around the world.
The port, which is linked to the Channel Islands via a direct ferry service, partly won the award for its managing of the uncertainties around Brexit, while still building the business.
‘I’m delighted that the port has been recognised internationally for our work on quality standards,’ said Port director Mike Sellers.
‘‘This reflects the culture and hard work of all of our port staff and demonstrates that the port is a front runner on our systems and standards at a global level.’
