EY has strengthened their Channel Islands leadership team with the promotion of Daniel Luwum to Assurance Partner, effective from 1st July.
Daniel (pictured) began his EY career in Uganda, before joining EY’s Jersey office as a manager in 2018. He has experience in wealth and asset management, specifically in real estate and private equity, as well as banking and capital markets.
Daniel has a deep understanding of the ever-changing regulatory landscape, He has driven the development of an EY thought leadership programme that serves as a platform to discuss critical topics on local business leaders’ agendas, including blockchain, ESG, forensics, and operational resilience. By facilitating these discussions, Daniel has supported local clients in staying well-informed and equipped to navigate local business challenges and opportunities.
Daniel is deeply committed to the development and well-being of others. With a passion for creating a supportive environment where every individual can thrive, feels that they belong and are included, Daniel has made a lasting impact as EY’s CI Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Leader. Through this role, Daniel has played a pivotal part in advancing EY’s DE&I agenda, exemplified by the establishment of their CI DE&I working party and the implementation of various initiatives. By fostering a sense of belonging and championing diversity,
Daniel enables all team members to reach their full potential. His dedication extends beyond the workplace, as he actively contributes to the local community. In collaboration with the Jersey Employment Trust, he volunteers his time to conduct mock interview training sessions, empowering individuals and providing them with invaluable skills for professional success.
