Optimus Recruitment goes wild on the water

As part of Durell’s ‘Rewild our World’ campaign, Optimus Recruitment have taken their staff and clients to the seas on a series of evening cruises across the Channel in an effort to reconnect with nature.

Jersey recruitment firm, Optimus has embraced the outdoors by chartering RIBS with Jersey Seafaris to explore the wonder of Jersey and its surrounding waters.

Optimus are one of the first companies to put in place a ‘Rewild’ strategy to get their staff outdoors more and exploring Jersey’s environment.

Jamie Guyer, Managing Director of Optimus Recruitment said: “As recruiters, we now see a variety of wellbeing benefits offered within employee packages and felt it would set a good example to get behind Durrell’s new campaign. Longer working hours and higher targets mean we are all under more pressure during our working day, all the more reason to welcome initiatives such as Durrell’s that allow us to get away from it all.

“Jersey is such a wonderful Island to live and work on, something that we as a team are careful to never take for granted. Durrell’s campaign to ‘Rewild’ Islanders through work and social activities outdoors is something we fully support for the vast health and mental benefits it offers.”
