Ogier is expanding its services to meet client needs by appointing Rachel Cropper-Mawer as partner and global head of Regulatory.
Expert Rachel (pictured) will be based in Ogier’s Jersey office but will lead the firm’s global regulatory legal offering, bringing together the key regulatory lawyers from across the law firm. Ogier’s legal services team also works closely with its regulatory consultants within Ogier Regulatory Consulting.
Rachel joins Ogier from Clyde and Co, where she was co-chair of the Regulatory and Investigations practice.
She said: “The regulatory landscape is constantly evolving and becoming ever-more challenging, so I am pleased to join Ogier to lead its standalone global, regulatory, risk and compliance legal offering. Ogier’s growth in this area reflects a new era of fast-paced regulatory change and increasingly active regulatory bodies, with clients across all Ogier’s service lines increasingly requiring bespoke, often cross-border, regulatory assistance.”
Ogier partner Niamh Lalor added: “We are delighted to welcome Rachel and her expertise to our team. Ogier is responding to demand from clients, who are trying to keep pace with the changes and deal with increasingly active regulators.
“Our regulatory services cross funds, banking and debt capital markets, and having two EU offices only increases the need to be at the forefront of this vital area. This new role will clearly demonstrate our full-service offering.”
