Oakglen Wealth has received approval from the Financial Conduct Authority in connection with its proposed acquisition of Aurea Financial Planning.
Completion is expected in October.
The approval represents a significant milestone in the transaction process as Oakglen expands its services to include financial planning in the UK. The transaction remains subject to completion and customary closing arrangements, which are expected to be finalised in the coming weeks.
Jamie Crawford (pictured), Group Head of Wealth Management at Oakglen commented: “Receiving FCA approval is an important milestone and brings us closer to completing the acquisition of Aurea. Financial planning is an increasingly important part of our long-term strategy, and Aurea’s reputation, people and client relationships make it an excellent fit for Oakglen. We look forward to working together and building on the strong foundations already in place.
“The business has achieved substantial growth of more than 100%, reflecting the impact of our continued investment in the business and our commitment to strengthening our capabilities for the long term. We are now approaching break-even, marking an important milestone in our growth journey. The acquisition of Aurea Financial Planning builds on this progress and reinforces our ongoing commitment to investing in the people, expertise and infrastructure needed to support the next phase of Oakglen’s development.”
Becky Taylor, Managing Director of Aurea Financial Planning, said: “This is a positive step for our business, our colleagues and our clients. We look forward to joining Oakglen and continuing to deliver the same high-quality advice and personal service that our clients have come to expect.”
