To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, WellBeing World, the Channel Islands based health and wellbeing business has partnered with Thrive Therapeutic Software in the UK to provide small businesses, entrepreneurs, and the self employed with access to the NHS approved Thrive UK Mental Health App. Usually only available via large corporates for their employees, the app is now available via WellBeing World to businesses employing less than 1,000 employees.
Thrive focuses on the prevention, screening and self-management of common mental health conditions such as stress, anxiety and depression, and uses clinically proven methods, used in real-world therapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques.
With immediate effect until the end of World WellBeing Week, 22nd – 26th June 2020, the app is being made available at a very special rate, with an option to include unlimited sessions with a psychologist via the in app chat service.
Founder of WellBeing World, Beverley Le Cuirot said: “Small business owners and their teams are going through really tough times. Our stress and anxiety levels are heightened and our overall mental health is being challenged like never before. For this reason, we are particularly delighted to finally be able to offer this evidence-based smartphone application providing in-depth tools to detect, prevent and treat mental health conditions for the owners and employees of small businesses, and for self employed practitioners and sole traders.”
The app complements perfectly the services already offered through our ‘WellBeing At Work’ platform by a wide range of WellBeing World Member practitioners, including Health and Wellness, Mindfulness, Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Tapping, Health Kinesiology, Stress Management, Resilience, Mediation and Resolution, and more.
“It also aligns with the work we have done to support small businesses generally through the COVID-19 pandemic. The Facebook and WhatsApp groups we set up specifically for this purpose now represent almost 1,500 small businesses and self employed sole traders. Access to the app is just one aspect of how we can help them. Other support includes working with the team at Jersey Business to provide their extensive range of business support services, lobbying Government on behalf of the group, and providing marketing and promotional support via the WellBeing World network and on social media.”
Mrs Le Cuirot is a qualified marketing practitioner having worked with industry and Jersey Finance internationally for more than 30 years, and having established her own businesses 12 years ago. She now supports health and wellbeing practitioners via WellBeing World membership, works with employers to support their employees with wellbeing strategy and implementation, and publishes the popular WellBeing World magazine.
The partnership between Thrive UK and WellBeing World provides access to Channel Islands companies enabling them to receive the full range of preventive, diagnostic, treatment and maintenance options that a healthy workforce requires, and now offers those businesses employing less than 1,000 employees with the opportunity to access this service.
