Condor will operate two trial passenger sailings between Guernsey and Poole later this month.
The services will take place on Sunday 23 August and Sunday 30 August and follow the island’s new travel restrictions announced by the Civil Contingencies Authority.
Under the new border requirements, travellers entering the Bailiwick from the UK will have to self-isolate for seven days before undergoing testing for Covid-19.
‘We have agreed to put on these sailings in advance of the resumption of a more regular schedule to Poole and St Malo in due course.
‘This is in line with the States’ move to the next phase of travel restrictions and we are happy to support efforts for assessing safe, sustainable options before borders can be opened,’ said a Condor spokesperson.
The sailings, which follow similar trials run in July, will follow strict safety protocols, including limits on the number of travellers in the public lounges, floor distancing markers and mandatory face coverings.
