The Grand Prior, His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester, on behalf of His Majesty the King, has approved the promotion of Mr. Alan Guy to the title of Commander in the Order of St John of Jerusalem.
Alan Guy (pictured) has been a dedicated member of St John Ambulance since August 2010. Over the past 14 years, he has been actively involved in the organisation’s youth programmes and has served as the charity’s Safeguarding Lead. In 2021, he was appointed Commandery President and became a valued member of the Board of Trustees, helping to guide the charity’s work in the community.
Alongside his commitment to St John, Alan enjoyed a long and distinguished career with the States of Jersey Police. Rising through the ranks to become a Police Inspector, he was widely respected for his professionalism, fairness, and unwavering dedication to protecting the community.
Speaking on his appointment, Alan said: “I am delighted and deeply honoured to receive this recognition. It has been a privilege to serve both St John and the wider community, and I look forward to continuing that service in the years ahead.”
