A new comedy podcast series, Open-Mic (the Sitcom), is bringing laughter and music together in a unique five-part rom-com adventure to raise money for Jersey Hospice Care.
Everything about Open-Mic is local, from the writer, the actors to the music.
The five-part rom-com podcast invites audiences to laugh along with Daph, a woman navigating the unpredictable world of open-mic nights while rediscovering her passion for music.
The series follows Daph as she seeks an escape from her uninspiring marriage and stumbles upon her old guitar in the garden shed. Her journey leads her into the vibrant, chaotic world of open-mic performances, where she meets an array of eccentric and aspiring musicians, each hoping for their big break.
Writer Colin Lever (pictured) said: “It is hoped that Open-Mic (the sit-com) will raise some much needed cash for Jersey Hospice Care as well as a few laughs along the way.
