Nerine Fiduciaries has appointed Jonathan Bailey as a client services director in its Guernsey office. Mr Bailey has hopped islands while staying with the group, joining the Guernsey office after five years of running the firm’s British Virgin Islands’ operation.
Nerine’s deputy managing director in the BVI, Wayne Francis, has subsequently taken the step up to managing director.
Mr Bailey qualified and practiced as a solicitor in England and became a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) before moving to the BVI where he was admitted as a solicitor in Anguilla and BVI.
He joined the Nerine BVI team in April 2013 as managing director and has considerable experience advising clients on BVI trusts, the use of VISTA legislation, private trust companies and for general succession of BVI company shares.
“I’m looking forward to working with the Guernsey team and the challenge of working in a similar role but in a completely different location,” said Mr Bailey.
“It felt like the right move to make, settling in Guernsey while staying with a company I have enjoyed working for over the last number of years.”

Nerine was recently acquired by PraxisIFM, joining a global business with offices in 15 different jurisdictions. The Nerine senior management team has committed to staying with the Group for a minimum of three years.
