National Coding Week is set to return to The Digital Greenhouse, for a diverse week of digital events.
Last year’s National Coding Week at the Digital Greenhouse saw over 200 people in attendance, including the second Future Rewired conference. This year, events run from Monday 13th to Saturday 19th September, bringing a wide range of expert knowledge, awareness and the opportunity to learn digital skills.
This year is the sixth National Coding Week at the Digital Greenhouse. Co-constructed with a range of industry experts, the week looks to promote digital upskilling, highlight new technology and possibly be the first steps in a new career in the growing digital sector in Guernsey.
National Coding Week will start on Monday with a lunch time IDEA Badge drop-in session held by the U3A, helping the older generation to develop their digital skills. On Tuesday, ESH Solutions will be taking an in-depth look at how retail businesses can use e-commerce platforms to develop and grow their business. Wednesday morning will see experts from Agilisys focus on Robotic Process Automation to enable the growth and improvement of services for both Government and Businesses.
On Thursday the Digital Greenhouse and Avado Learning are hosting a virtual panel discussion with a range of industry experts looking at the importance of digitally upskilling your business in 2021. The monthly Innovation Lab will take place on Friday, looking at expanding leadership skills through a coaching workshop.
Future Rewired returns for its third year on Saturday 19th September. The free technology festival, kindly sponsored by Prosperity 24/7, features a range of local speakers covering topics such as Data, Creative Technology, Cryptocurrencies and more. It is open to all people working or interested in technology with plenty of chances to network with the local community.
Lucy Kirby, Director of the Digital Greenhouse said, “We hope to inspire and spark people’s interest in technology with a week of learning, creativity and knowledge sharing. Once again we are extremely pleased to have the support of local industry partners to share their digital innovation and impart skills across the range of activities to celebrate National Coding Week. With Guernsey’s tech festival, “Future Rewired” bringing together speakers from the Island and further afield to talk all things digital and creative, now is the perfect time to expand your knowledge and join the growing community.”
