Nathalie Le Cuirot, the latest graduate from Ogier’s English Solicitor Training Programme, has joined the firm’s Local Legal Services in Jersey as an associate.
Ogier is one of only two offshore firms to provide a City equivalent solicitor training programme. The two-year scheme sees trainees take on up to four seats, including time in Litigation, and incorporates the Professional Skills Course and an experiential litigation course, with a mock trial at the Magistrate’s Court.
Partner Richard Daggett, leader of the training scheme, said: “I am, alongside a number of counsel in the firm, a previous graduate of the course, and we all take significant pride in delivering this dedicated development programme that is equivalent to those run by City firms. Qualifying as a Solicitor is a landmark in anyone’s legal career. We are delighted to celebrate Nathalie’s success, and welcome her to her new role as an associate.”
In her new role as an associate, Nathalie joins Ogier’s Local Legal Services team in advising clients on commercial and residential property, employment, and local business services.
Nathalie said: “The past year has been a rollercoaster for everyone, but I am truly thankful for the support I received from Ogier during this time in my work and training. It’s great to be part of a firm that is adaptive and offers continuous support.
“Everyone at Ogier wants to help you be your best self, professionally and personally, and this extends from your immediate colleagues to the partners and directors. Due to a range of educational tutorials, legal updates, and colleagues who are willing to pick up the phone and talk you through any questions you might have, my training was able to continue with barely a hiccup. Having completed the English Solicitor training programme, I feel a great sense of achievement and am looking forward to starting my career with the Local Legal Services teams.”
