The Jersey Employment Forum has today launched a consultation exercise on the future minimum wage rates in Jersey.

The exercise will look at all aspects of the financial and economic conditions in the Island. The consultation will inform the Forum’s conclusions and recommendations to the Social Security Minister later in the year.

Commenting on the launch of the consultation, the Chair of the Employment Forum, Carla Benest (pictured), said: “I’m very pleased that the Forum will once again be undertaking a comprehensive review of the minimum wage rates in Jersey.

“We’re looking forward to engaging with employees and employers and business and trade union organisations right across the Island and in all sectors of the economy. I’d encourage everyone with an interest to take part.”
